Victoria practices exclusively in family law.

Victoria was called in 2006. She became in tenant in a criminal set in London in 2008 and practised in crime for a number of years, prosecuting and defending. From 2014-2016 Victoria worked at the Nursing and Midwifery Council in professional regulation. This background means that Victoria has significant advocacy experience.

Victoria now specialises in Family Law and joins Dere Street following a number of years as an in-house advocate from a Local Authority in the North West. At the Local Authority Victoria would regularly appear in Court undertaking a wide range of hearings in Children Act matters including: multi day contested interim and final hearings, deprivation of liberty cases, leave to oppose adoption applications, discharge applications and contact applications. Victoria also gained experience of private law matters for example in parental alienation, domestic violence and other s.7 and s.37 matters.  Outside of Court Victoria would provide specialist advice to the: Support and Protect, Looked After, Fostering and Adoption Teams. Victoria therefore comes to Chambers with an in-depth knowledge of Local Authority policies and procedures and has an expertise of explaining their application to cases.

Victoria has recently been asked to lecture at the University of Cumbria on advocacy and the Children Act.

Victoria prides herself on thorough case preparation and an excellent working relationship with her clients.
