Grace Atkinson
Grace joined chambers in 2022 having successfully completed her common law pupillage under the supervision of Frazer McDermott. She accepts instructions in all areas of Family Law.
Grace has developed significant experience representing local authorities, parents and children in public law proceedings.
During her first few years of practice, Grace has acted in cases involving allegations of non-accidental injuries, physical and sexual abuse. This includes recent representation of children required to give oral evidence in respect of those allegations.
In addition to this, Grace has experience representing parents and children in private law proceedings, particularly in cases involving allegations of domestic abuse and parental alienation.
Other interests
Prior to joining chambers, Grace was undertaking her Bar Training Course full-time whilst living and studying at Gray’s Inn as a residential scholar. Alongside her studies, she worked with the Vocalise programme, teaching key debating skills to male prisoners. In addition to this, she volunteered for a wide range of organisations and charities including Griffin Law, Domestic Abuse Stops Here and Globalteer. As such, Grace has experience in supporting vulnerable individuals and those from differing backgrounds.
