Eleanor accepts instructions in all aspects of family law in particular public and private children proceedings.
Eleanor is currently instructed by solicitors across the North East on behalf of both Applicants and Respondents in Public and Private Law proceedings including Local Authorities, parents, children’s guardians and extended family members. Eleanor has experience in acting for a range of parties in urgent applications through to multi-day final hearings. Eleanor regularly deals with cases involving domestic violence, neglect and drug and alcohol abuse and has been led in a case involving sexual abuse.
Eleanor regularly represents litigants in private law proceedings and has experience of all types of applications and orders under the Children Act. She is regularly instructed in applications for Child Arrangement Orders to determine residence and contact, enforcement applications and injunctive relief where domestic violence is alleged, at ex-parte and contested hearings.
Eleanor represents applicants and respondents at all stages of financial remedy proceedings.
Eleanor has regularly received positive feedback in respect of her approach to both lay and professional clients. Eleanor is renowned for building a good rapport with her clients alongside providing clear and straightforward advice.
Prior to commencing pupillage, Eleanor worked as a Legal Assistant in the Childcare department of a Local Authority and was a County Court Advocate across the North East.
In her spare time Eleanor loves to run and practise yoga.
