Speaker Profile – Dez Derry
Dez founded mmadigital from a small start-up in 2012 to the well-respected agency it has become, specialising in the legal sector, representing 100+ law firm clients throughout the UK. Before starting mmadigital, Dez was one of Yell’s top Key Account Managers working with blue chip brands, agencies and SMEs on online marketing strategies. Dez personally managed a £5m annual budget across Yell’s highest value accounts which included Injury Lawyers4U, Fentons, National Accident Helpline and Claims Direct.
Dez has spoken at numerous conferences in the UK and abroad, which have included MASS, Manchester Law Society, Legal Futures, Legal Management Conference Madrid and 360 Legal Conferences.
Speaker Profile – Rob Macfarlane
Rob joined mmadigital after 10 years of in-house legal marketing, including at two top-100 UK firms. Rob got hooked on legal marketing whilst in Australia in 2006, assisting two national firms, one with communications activities and the other pitching for new commercial clients. On return to the UK, Rob joined Pannone who at the time were legal pioneers of SEO – optimising their
website to appear prominently on Google, when most legal businesses just had basic online presence. After Pannone Rob joined regional firm, SAS Daniels working with the partnership to deliver year-on-year revenue growth, including picking up an award for Professional & Financial Services Campaign of the year by achieving 454% ROI from a campaign that included targeted online content and social media marketing.
Prior to joining mmadigital, Rob oversaw all the marketing technology projects for BLM, which included launching the digital presence for their new global network.
