synopsis
Jim qualified as a solicitor in 1993 and shortly afterwards moved back to London. He joined various Duty Solicitor Schemes throughout North and East London. This experience has been invaluable in his career at the Bar. Having a closer relationship with clients, other solicitors, the police and courts has given him a rounded understanding of criminal proceedings. In particular it has helped him in the workings of police stations and police interviews.
In 1999 Jim transferred to the Bar. Since then he has worked all over the North-Eastern Circuit, but predominantly in Teesside. The majority of his practice is defence work, but he does prosecute as well.
