Between 1980 and 1989, Christopher practised in crime, family and civil work the latter culminating in a claim against Northumberland Area Health Authority for the negligent conduct of a birth and an award of £800,000 (Jewitt –v- Northumberland AHA).
Throughout this period he prosecuted in crime and acted in family cases (children mainly) including ancillary relief as well as run-of-the mill civil actions covering such areas as bailment, PI, contract and Landlord and Tenant.
